I visited Manifold Valley Barn with two friends from overseas and we had a fantastic New Year break. We enjoyed the walks directly from the cottage, the views from Thor Cave and the hills in Wetton, and the food in the local pub is outstanding too. The barn itself is very well equipped and lovingly cared for, the owners are very friendly and informative too and we will be telling our friends about this cottage!

A very tastefully renovated cottage - a home from home!

This is a cosy converted barn in a lovely little village, surrounded by quiet country roads. It is traditional looking from the outside with all modern conveniences inside. We went with our 2 children over half-term and it was a nice week away from London. We went pony trekking, walking over dales and did mountain climbing. We recommend "The Roaches" for climbing, Dovedale and the Manifold river trail for walking and climbing and Chatsworth House and gardens. The cottage is equipped thoughtfully with everything you need for a self catering holiday, we wish we could have stayed longer - plus the owners were really friendly, welcoming and helpful.
